A Comparative Study of Sublingual Misoprostol and Manual Vacuum Aspiration for Incomplete Abortion Treatment

Objective: The purpose of this analysis is to do the comparison sublingual misoprostol and manual vacuum aspiration for incomplete abortion treatment. Study Design: Randomized/Control Trial Place Duration: Department Gynecology Obstetrics Combined Military Hospital, Peshawar from January 2021 December 2021. Methods: There were 108 women with ages 18-50 years presented in study. All included had abortion. Age, BMI, gestational age, parity among specific demographics recruited cases that documented after receiving written, informed consent. 54 females received (600mg) group I patients II aspiration. Post-treatment outcomes both groups assessed terms decreased hemoglobin, side effects, completion satisfaction rate by using visual analogue scale. SPSS 24.0 was used analyze all data. Results: Among females, 35 (32.4%) age 18-30 years, 55 (50.9%) 31-40 18 (16.7%) >40 years. 60 (55.6%) BMI <25kg/m2 48 (44.4%) >25kg/m2. Mean 2.04±3.19 mean 13.4±8.61 weeks. In hemoglobin level <1 g/dl lower found 27 (50%) as compared (64.8%) cases. Frequency effects higher 38 (70.4%) 22 (40.7%) p value 0.006. complete 50 (92.6%) 39 (72.2%) (p<0.003). Satisfaction group.
